About Us
Nationally known, red carpet designer, Mary Norton founded Catwalk
for Kids as a result of her powerful experiences making handbags
with children in the hospital annually for thirteen years. Responding
to the critical needs of children nationwide, Catwalk for Kids provides
hope and healing by bringing together entertainers, designers, and
children in need to work side by side engaged in hands on creative
projects.
In just two short years, we have bought critically needed supplies for a
neonatal unit, funded pediatric lupus research, and hired an oncologist for
an under staffed children’s hospital that was turning away patients.
Past Events
Catwalk for Kids celebrates the children in need working side by side with them at a Catwalk Collaboration. At these events, handbags are created by celebrities, and our generous partners along with the children in need. Fundraising events occur the day after the Catwalk Collaboration and feature:
- Couture runway fashion show
- A gourmet meal
- An opportunity to hear firsthand from children in need
- A live auction of handbags made by celebrities
- Auction items made in our Catwalk Collaboration
- A live performance by a top entertainer
